How do I translate raw manga on my phone?
Install Magavis, choose “Manga — Japan” or let the app detect the page, open the chapter and tap the floating button. The translation appears inside the bubbles.
Does Magavis read vertical Japanese text?
Yes. It reads vertical columns right to left, does not mistake furigana for separate lines and translates each bubble as a whole.
Is Magavis free?
The first 3 days are free: enter your email in the app and we’ll send you a trial key, cloud translation included (up to 100 pages a day). After that the subscription costs $5 a month, and one key works on two phones.
Does Magavis need root or a special reader app?
No. It works on top of any app using Android's screen capture and "display over other apps" permissions. You need Android 9 or newer.
Are my screenshots sent anywhere?
No. On-device translation never sends anything. Cloud translation sends only the recognized lines of text, never images of your screen.
